Historic Walking tour of Madrid

A walking tour, during approximately an hour and a half, through the old quarters of the city, known as Madrid de los Austrias (Habsburg dynasty) with a guide to know the impressive Plaza Mayor, and walk down the stairs of Arch of Cuchilleros and the winding streets and alleys around Plaza de la Villa. Then we will see the great neoclassical building of the Cathedral of Almudena, ending our visit in the beautiful “Plaza de Oriente”, where the Royal Palace is located.

If you wish you can include the entrance and guided tour to the impressive Royal Palace, former residence of the Spanish kings and beautifully furnished and decorated. You will be able to admire the official reception rooms, the Museum area, the Royal Chapel, the Throne Room and the private rooms of king Carlos III and queen Isabel II. Aprox. duration: 1 hour.

Tour departs from 7 San Bernardo Street, Madrid. The closest metro stations are Santo Domingo (Line 2) and Callao (Lines 3 and 5), located 2 and 5 minutes walking distance respectively from the terminal. You can see map here
